For my stop motion project, I will show you the art of playing chess. In some situations the game is played very quickly, and other times up to 5 minutes per move. In this frame by frame video, you will be able to see each move of the men.
The sequence was shot from one angle at different focal lengths. I created the effect of movement by moving each piece in a direction a half an inch at a time. I used only a digital camera, chess men, and a board as well as Final Cut Pro to place the frames into a movie sequence. 1024 frames were shot to complete this assignment.
