Point Blank by Anthony Horowitz is the first book in an action/thriller series that follows a young spy faced with the task of outwitting death and evil-doers again and again. As the name implies, the protagonist, Alex, is faced with a problem "Point Blank" and must find a way to overcome it. For the cover I wanted to highlight the idea of being held at point blank. The stylized revolver, with its barrel aimed straight at the viewer is contrasted by the red blood-like spatter to create a sense of fear, panic, and exhilaration.
